Pasig is a picturesque setting nestled approximately 12 kms. Pasig City, not known to many, became the Provincial Capital of Rizal until 1975 when the Metro Manila Commission was created under Presidential Decree No. 824, then the Senate and the House of Representative enacted Republic Act 7829 converting the Municipality of Pasig into a highly urbanized city on July 26, 1994 under President Fidel V. Ramos signed it into law on December 8, 1994.

Pasig City has 30 barangays namely Brgy. Santolan, Dela Paz, Manggahan, Rosario, Sta. Lucia, Ugong, San Antonio, Oranbo, Maybunga, Caniogan, Kapitolyo, Pineda, Bagong Ilog, San Miguel, Palatiw, Malinao, Bambang, San Juaquin, Buting, Kalawaan, Pinagbuhatan, Sta. Rosa, Sumilang, Bagong Katipunan, San Jose, Kapasigan, Sagad, Sta. Cruz, Sto. Tomas and San Nicolas. Each barangay, has an easy access for transportation and other services.

It's a no secret Pasig has a newish feel and highly desirable place to live. Pasig today can be classified more as a modern city.
